Governing Structures

The Economic Justice Network in Southern Africa is a project of the Fellowship of Christian Councils in Southern Africa (FOCCISA). FOCCISA consists of eleven National Christian Councils form Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The chart below shows the relationship between the network and the family of Councils of Churches which falls under the World Council of Churches.

The executive of FOCCISA is the legal holder who signs contracts or proposals with funding partners and take ultimate responsibility for the project.

The Steering Committee of EJN is the implementing agency of FOCCISA that takes responsibility for implementation of the project. The Chairperson of Foccisa, Mr. David Modiega from the Botswana Christian Council, is also the chairperson of the Steering Committee of the Economic Justice Network.
