EJN and Oxfam have had a good partnership. We have worked together on issues of Trade and Justice. In particular, we have looked at ways to promoted fair trade and launched campaigns to that effect. EJN together with Oxfam have produced high-quality research. We have advocated for responsible policies that will help poor people benefit from international trade. Both partners realize that world trade could be a powerful force for reducing poverty, if poor people could sell their products at a decent and fair price.
Another area Oxfam and EJN both work on is that of Climate Change and Justice. EJN has a history working with the concept of Ecological Debt to understand international power and economic relationships. Climate change is possibly one of the most obvious examples of Ecological Debt. EJN and Oxfam are working hard to increase the awareness of global warming and hope to transform this public pressure into real policy change
